DOAs (dead on arrivals) MUST be reported to us with proof in the form of photo or video within ONE HOUR of delivery. DOA reports can be sent either to our email at PodHausLLC@gmail.com, via chat on the website, or to our Facebook or Instagram accounts.
*If you will not be home and someone else will be bringing in your package for you to open when you arrive home, you will need to provide proof with timestamp of them bringing in the package no more than one hour after delivery, such as a doorbell video, photo or text to you of the box with proof of time, etc. DOA proof must be provided within 12 hours of the package being delivered in this instance.
When you are placing your order, please note that Priority shipments will be sent Monday and Tuesday only and are typically 2 to 3 days. If it is only a 2 day travel window, we can send your package out Wednesday. If you won't be home, please add a note in the special instructions box at checkout the date you would need your package to arrive.
Tracking information will be sent to the email address provided at checkout, please use that to track your package. It is the customer's responsibility to watch for this email (it may go to your spam folder) and track the package to make arrangements as needed.
We do our best to responsibly ship isopods and springtails year-round so you don't have to wait for months on end to receive your package, all we ask is that you or someone else will be home to bring in your box as soon as it gets delivered. As long as your temperatures aren't crazy high or low, we will still ship your package.
Safe shipping days are always at our discretion.
If the weather is not permitting, there are known delays happening due to holidays or other reasons, or storms that could cause possible delays, shipments will be held until safe shipping conditions are present at no additional cost. Summer and winter holds are provided at no cost to you until shipping is safe. We are not responsible for incorrect addresses provided by the buyer nor shipment delays by the courier. If a package is delayed for a long period of time or is lost by the courier, we will do our best to make it right with you. We will offer a reshipment or store credit and will be in touch to come to a mutually agreed upon agreement.
Be sure to double check the shipping information you provide when ordering from us. In addition to your address, we require your email and daytime phone number. This information is required for FedEx Live Animal Shipments. If a wrong shipping address is provided our LIVE ARRIVAL & 7-DAY HEALTH GUARANTEE is void.
All live animal orders will be packed appropriately for weather in an insulated box with added cryopaks, heat packs or cool packs when needed.
You will have the option to choose your shipping method at checkout. Please choose the correct shipping method for what is in your order. If you choose "Add to an existing order or light dry goods shipping" to try to get free shipping without an existing order or you have live animals, your order may be cancelled and your payment will be returned to you minus a 6% cancellation fee.

If you need your order held for a specific date, please make a note in the special instructions box at checkout with the date you'd like to receive your package.
We offer free Priority shipping on all orders over $100 and free 2 day shipping on orders over $300 year round. We also offer the option to add to an existing order as long as it has not shipped yet. Please only choose that option if you are adding to an order that you have already placed and either paid for shipping or qualified for free shipping on that existing order. If we (PodHaus LLC and the buyer) have made prior arrangements to meet up locally, you are able to choose local pick up at checkout to waive shipping costs. You also have the option to pre-order for expos we will be attending. Simply place your desired order, choose show pick up, add the show you will be picking up at in the special instructions box at checkout at we will pack your order and hold it for you at the show so you don't miss out of species we may not bring or that may sell out!
Throughout the year, we may do sales or events that include free priority shipping. We will still pack your box carefully and appropriately for the weather using insulated boxes and ice/heat packs.
We will not ship the week after Black Friday due to the high possibility of package delays at this time. We also cannot ship two weeks before or after Christmas for the same reason. We will not ship the week of major holidays depending on what day the holiday falls on. For example, if it Falls on a Monday or Saturday, we will still ship. If you choose 2nd day or overnight and the holiday falls on a Tuesday, we will ship Wednesday. But if it falls on Wednesday or Thursday, we will NOT ship that week.
If there are know delays, extreme temperatures, natural disasters, storms, etc., we will hold your shipment until safer shipping circumstances arise.
We don’t offer a health guarantee with isopods or springtails at this time due to the sensitivity of their environment. However, we will guarantee the count that was ordered for DOAs. We will always pack an overcount to cover any casualties that may occur during the shipping process, therefore we will only guarantee the actual count that was ordered. For example, if you order a 10 count, we will pack at least 12. If 2 perish in shipping but the other 10 are fine, we can't guarantee the 2 that passed and will not refund/replace. If you are sent freebie species, they do not fall under the guarantee.
All live animal sales are final. No returns will be given under no circumstance for any reason. We will offer a reshipment or store credit, refunds may be given on certain circumstances. Please reach out and we will do our best to make sure you are happy with your experience with us. Please read below for terms of store credit offerings. If you are not happy with any dry goods that you received, depending on the circumstance, we will either offer you a replacement or refund. We may have you return the product in question and we will cover the cost of return shipping.
Isopods are not sexed during packing and not guaranteed. Odds are you will always receive a mix of males and females though
